Lightning Hillas Strikes Twice. Doodsons rd.5 at Helmsley

Carlton in North Yorkshire stepped in to play host to Round 5 of the Doodson Motorsport Championship over the 5th June weekend.

The rideoffroadUK team, and their trusted grounds man, went to work on the Helmsley venue to open up the course creating lots of passing places, as well as removing any tree stumps and generally grading the whole loop.

Wayne Braybrook had added even more new loops to add to the awesome track layout created in March this year.

The result was a superb Hare & Hounds course which was praised by the riders who attended. With a smaller than usual entry line up due to the Half term holidays, and many club members who pay the annual pilgrimage to the TT races, the decision was taken to run one Adult race around the huge Carlton plantation, running for two and a half hours.
