GasGas UK's Danny McCanney blitzed the opposition to win all four Pro/Expert races at Fast Eddy's Rock Oil Enduro-X event on Sunday at CMX Motoparc in the West Midlands. Fasteddyracing.com Honda rider Tom Sagar took pole position in qualifying but crashed heavily on the opening lap of the first race and retired for the day.
The event was spectacular and gave riders the chance to experience something a little different around a custom-built Enduro-X course in CMX's sand quarry.

Life’s great at CTR EVENTS WSC RD5
CTR EVENTS did it again and made an awesome new racetrack in Energlyn, Caerphilly CF83 East South Wales, with beautiful panoramic views of Cardiff, Newport and the Bristol Channel. RideoffroadUK start the 2012 IOPD Doodson UK National Hare & Hounds Championship high on the Lancashire hills at the popular Lee Dell venue on February 5th.
As we enter the fifth year of rideoffroadUK enduro events, we have included two double header weekends where riders can earn double points, by riding two separate scoring races, running on the Saturday and Sunday.
The idea is to try save competitors money on travel costs and preparation time as the economic situation enters the recovery stage. To add to that, all registered rideoffroadUK club members are now able to save money on entries by pre paying 7 days+ in advance, this saves £10 over the pay on day prices, but is strictly limited to loyal club members.
Weather permitting; the course for Round 1 makes a welcome return to the east loop including the MX track and open moor land going. This outfield loop has not been used since August 2011. It always proves popular with riders giving lots of track to get going and open up on. With on going ground works at Lee Dell starting to take shape, Wayne Braybrook has yet another fresh new track in mind to keep riders on their toes.
For round one, until the clocks change, we will be running the Youth event on Sunday morning at 8.30am, this will be followed by the highly popular Sportsman, Beginner, Over50 and Ladies race starting at 10am. After a short break for results and presentation, the Expert, Over40 and Clubman riders will hit the dirt for 2.5 hours around the Lancashire hills.

High winds coupled with a bright sunny day offered a mixture of conditions for competitors and spectators as the 2012 rideoffroadUK organisation fired into life.
A brand new venue near Scunthorpe, which has been a work in progress for 3 years, finally came to fruition for a pre championship warm up event. With the start of the 2012 IOPD Doodson UK championship only two weeks away, the idea of a warm up event worked perfectly as a packed start line were ready to get back in the enduro XC groove before February 5th. AJP PR5 250 - goes Top 10 at The Tough One.
This weekend saw factory AJP rider Joäo Ribeiro make his debut appearance at the infamous Tough One extreme enduro and come away with an outstanding 9th in the ultra competitive Pro class.A top 10 finish would be impressive for a seasoned Tough One competitor but for Joao the debut result is made even more impressive by the fact he was riding a production AJP PR5, an air/oil cooled 250cc fourstroke in an event renowned to be firmly two stroke orientated. Allan Seedhouse, Sales Director for UK AJP distributor ALS: ‘We’re extremely pleased with the Tough One result. It was a last minute decision to enter Joao in the event, so late in fact we had to take a new bike from stock and PDI’d it on Friday. This was no factory prepared special but a standard production bike, we’d not even had time to run it by the time the race started!
’Joining Allan at The Tough One to witness the result was AJP Export Manager, Pedro Matono: ‘Although the Extreme Enduro rider isn’t our target customer, the result at the Tough One proves the off road design and capability that is inherent in the AJP motorcycles. We offer a range of leisure Enduro bikes but we build them to competition standards.’
The PR5 used by Joäo Ribeiro is the flagship model in the AJP range featuring a fuel injected 250cc air/oil cooled four stroke engine in a hybrid alloy/steel chassis. Suspension duty is taken care of by Sachs USD forks matched to a fully adjustable Sachs rear shock. ALS is seeking dealers nationwide for this PR5 and the complimentary PR3 and PR4 models.

Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC Championship: POSTPONED
This weekend’s opening round of the new Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC Championship has been postponed until February 26th.Recent cold condition have left the ground at Bicton frozen as hard as concrete for the planned event and in the interests of safety, with snow also forecast for Saturday, Paul Edmondson has put the event back a couple of weeks until the weather is more favourable . Paul Edmondson: ‘As both a rider and an event promoter this is the most sensible course of action. I personally would not like to ride on ground frozen solid and I certainly don’t expect anyone else to. From the promoter side of things I have to consider the Health & Safety aspect of the course, which is unsuitable for an XC event at the moment.’
All may not be lost though. For riders who fancy an outing, Paul has again teamed up with CMX Motoparc, venue for last weekend’s Enduro-X event, to put on a practice day on Saturday from 10.00am until 3.00pm for a bargain price of just £30.This sand based venue is unaffected by the freezing weather and offers riders a chance to try their hands at something a little different.For more info call Mandy on 01543 370070.

Fast Eddy and Rock Oil join forces
Fast Eddy Racing has signed a three-year deal with Rock Oil as title sponsor of the popular Fast Eddy XC Series.
The Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC series kicks on February 5th at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. Paul Edmondson clinched the deal at the NEC Expo on Tuesday with Rob Sheldon from Rock Oil.
Paul Edmondson: ‘This is great news for both the Fast Eddy Race Team and for the race series for the next three years. Rock Oil has given a long term commitment to both myself and Tom Sagar for our team efforts in 2012, 2013 and 2014 in addition to the XC series over the same time period.

Fasteddyracing are pleased to announce the support from local Honda dealer Sutton Motorcycles for the 2012 race season. Also, great news is that current BSEC, BEC E2 and GBXC champion Tom Sagar has agreed terms for his third season with the team.
BEC E1 champion Paul Edmondson will also partner Tom again however, it will be more casual than in previous years. Following a hugely successful 2011 season and having tested other European machinery, Fast Eddy took the decision to go back to the brand that took the great Mika Ahola to his incredible 5 World Championships and Fast Eddy to runner up position in 2004.
Paul Edmondson: ‘Going back to Honda and bringing them back to the forefront of off-road events in the UK will be our priority. Having Tom on the CRF450 and myself on the CRF250, we can hopefully show people that Honda can again dominate Enduro in the UK”.

The Track: This is a stunning, scenic, quarry based venue, here in North Somerset, with amazing natural rocky terrain, as well as man-made obstacles thrown in the mix. The track has been designed to cater for all riders, a lap which will provide a challenge from novice to pro. An Easy route “option” will be in place for Clubman, Sportsman, O40`s, & Ladies. A Harder, more challenging route, will be implemented for the Timed & Observation Trial, which will include 6 Observed sections. Pro`s, Experts & O40 Experts, will also ride the Hard route, with additional PRO routes designed by Graham Jarvis, (optional for Experts) which should provide some really excellent spectator sections. more
Abbey Enduro Event Up-date
Mid Wales Dirt Track along with Clerk of the course Paul Edmondson would like to up-date all riders for the 1st round of the Doodson ACU British Enduro championship.
The Club and Paul would like to assure all riders that a sensible and enjoyable course will be planned, along with two special tests, one of which will be next to the start area and fuelling.
The aim of this event is also to allow riders and support crews on an event that is practical and easy to follow. The course will also be carefully planned with the weather in mind so riders should not be concerned, (entries are now at the half way mark).
Paul Edmondson: 'This BEC round will be about giving the riders high quality special tests and easy access for support crews and spectators. The riders will not be gone off for hours as one lap will take around 1 ½ hours with crews seeing their riders twice per lap. We will be catering for all levels of riders not just the championship lads'.
