Becki & Jodocus Jumping Journal

The Midland Championship was meant to be held at Onley Showground in Rugby, when at the last minute it had to be moved to Prestwood which was better as it was only down the road. The first class was the very novice horse and I had four faults the class was to small for him. The next class was The young horse joker championship this was a speed class and you had a opion of a 2.9ft fence or a 3ft plus fence, I had all ready decided before jumping that I was not going to push him over the big fence as he is still only a baby, the girl before me went over the big fence so she was up on points, we did a fab round getting all the short turns in that others hadn't we got the fastest time but because I didn't jump the big fence we got 2ND reserve champion I was over the moon. Our last class was The young horse championship everyone was having fences and only one horse went clear. me and Jod had a spot on ride but had a silly stop at a filler so we finished 3rd over all I could not have asked for a better day.  Just like to say thank you to Cally who has been helping on the run up to the show to get Jod spot on for the championship  we still have a long way to go but we will get there.

Becki and Jodocus had a more successful Sunday. They competed at Prestwood for the second week in a row the sun was shining and everyone was out to play. The first class was the Very novice horse. Went clear in the first round and clear in the jump off, Becki took it steady with him as he is still a young horse and they came 4th overall qualifying in another class for the Midland Championship. Then they went in the the Young horse class and got second. Third class they entered was the Open they had a fence down due to slight rider error but jumped the course well. Overall a fab day.
