New Season, New Partners, New Kit

Andy and Mel joined forces in November 2008 and had their first outing together shortly afterwards, at an AMCA photoshoot at Bromsberrow. They are both quite experienced in Sidecar cross and feel that they have an excellent pairing to make a challenge on this years AMCA Sidecar Championship.

This website will be regularly updated to show our progress throughout the season and with plenty of new kit and loads of enthusiasm, we hope to be near the top of the league right from the start.

Please take the time to have a look through our latest gallery and keep checking back to see more pics, which will be added as the season progresses.

The third round of the AMCA Sidecar Championship was held last Sunday and hosted by the Macclesfield club at Sandbach. The club did a good job with grading and watering all day long.

In practice, Andy and Mel qualified in 7th position.

Race 1
Steve France and Stuart France took the win with Jamie Stevens and Scott Grahame finishing in 2nd. Andy and Mel battled hard and were rewarded with a third place finish.

Race 2
France and France once again took the race win but this time the Turner brothers, on their number 37 machine, took second place. Andy and Mel had another good race, taking third.

Race 3
France and France made it three out of three, taking home maximum points. Stevens and S Grahame took second with the Turner brothers in third, a fraction of second in front of fourth place Tony Grahame and Neil Friary.

Andy and Mel were running in fourth until an incident saw them taken out over the back end of the track by T Grahame and Friary, which saw them finish in 6th place.

2nd Overall Turner Brothers with 158 points

1st Championship Round at Upavon. Words & pics by Milky

After a good practice section the decision was made to change some of the bike set-up, by changing the back sprocket to give more speed due to the track been very fast.

In the first race Andy and Melissa gated well in 5th place in really dusty conditions and was looking to make a move on Brian Beresford and Martin Machin over the back straight in the first lap the fast moving crew were stuck in a bad dust cloud and went through the ropes causing Melissa to get thrown off the back of the bike.

Thankfully no injuries were sustained by both Andy or Melissa, but unfortunately that was the end of the days racing.

Great first outing at Dunston. Pics by Milky

Our first race together was at Dunston over the weekend. Bridgnorth Club put on a good meeting but the track was rough in places.

Race 1
First race of the day where we gated 3rd then Jamie Stevens and Scott Grahame passed us over the table top then had a flat tyre so we passed them and stayed in third place throughout the rest of the race.

Race 2
A brilliant start as we got the hole shot off the gate but then Steve France and Lee Machin made their way through the field and overtook us. We stayed in third place for the rest of the race behind France and Jamie Stevens.

Race 3
We gated in 4th place and following some slick driving by Andy, we finally finished in third place.

Second overall with 150 points, one point ahead of Jamie Stevens and Scott Grahame, was a terrific start to our season and our confidence is high for the next event.
